1921: Methodist School opens in San Jose
1989: Methodist Seminary opens in San Jose
1995: 45 Methodist congregations in Costa Rica
2001: Methodist University opens in San Jose
2009: 115 Methodist congregations in Costa Rica
Our Mission's Focal Points
Methodist Children's Home: 1,500+ kids sleep on the streets of San Jose, 50 will live in 5 homes at our Christ-centered orphanage
Children's Worship Center: 41% of CR 16-yr-olds aren't in school, CWC will provide place of study, play, and worship for 20,000+ Puerto Viejo youth
Methodist School: 1,200 student school (pre K - 11), Top 5 education in CR, 85% of students don't attend church regularly
Methodist Seminary: ~50 students/pastors, U.S. and CR professors, teaching the Bible and how to grow the Kingdom

Quirk: the Costa Ricans are called "Ticos" because they add "-tico" to the end of words that signify a small portion, like "momentitico"
